The storms of the last few weeks have deposited large quantities of seaweed up on the oyster lots in the Great South bay. Many thousand bushels of oysters are covered nearly a foot deep, and unless there comes another storm of similar force to lift the deposit and carry it away the damage to the lot owners cannot be estimated.
