New York, 1895
Lawyer Horace Secor, of Freeport, who was arrested recently for riding his bicycle on the sidewalks in violation of the village laws, wants $500 damages. He has written several letters to the village authorities giving his views on the subject and making a formal demand for the amount named. In a resolution the trustees declared that Mr. Secor had no just cause for grievance against the village.
