New York, 1895
The town board of health held their regular monthly meeting at the Town Hall on Monday. Supervisor Everitt presided. The secretary reported that Glusching's piggery at South Woodhaven, and the bone boiling factory at Jamaica South, had been closed.
Complaint was made by the trustees of the South Woodhaven school that gas house refuse was being dumped on property near the school house. They asked that the nuisance be abated. The complaint was referred to the health officer.
The following bills were ordered paid: Adam Busch, serving notices for board of health and killing and burying a dog, $6; Mrs. Charles Neihr, for bedding destroyed by order of the health officer, $45.
Dr. Flynn, health officer, said there was not a case of contagious disease in the town.
