New York, 1895
The Deer Park Hotel was discovered to be on fire Friday morning. The flames burst out of the building at 2 o'clock.
The inmates had to fly for their lives. The place is without a fire department, and the flames soon consumed the building. Some of the furniture was gotten out. The loss is estimated at $2,500, and is covered by insurance.
