James Cornell has moved into Charles Spalding's house on the Rockaway road.
Deremer Bros. have the contract for putting a new fence around the school house.
John Cash has moved to Brooklyn, where he will work at his trade as a painter.
Miss Hattie Bisbee, who has been visiting friends here, has returned to her home in Brooklyn.
George E. Swain, of New Jersey, will give a lecture Friday night in the Presbyterian church. Subject, "Our Country."
The Good Templars will take possession of their new hall on Tuesday evening, May 7th, and the new officers will be installed.
Charles Small was tendered a birthday party on Wednesday night at his home on Mills avenue, and a pleasant evening was spent.
The ladies' aid society of the Methodist church will hold a sociable at the residence of Mrs. William H. Nostrand on Wednesday evening, May 1.
L. E. Decker keeps the very best of groceries, provisions, hardware, farm implements and household supplies, and his prices are low for the quality of the goods.
Stephen Nostrand has been appointed truant and attendance officer by the Board of Education, and the compulsory school law will be strictly enforced.
The new school building will be dedicated on the evening of May 8th. The desks and chairs are now in place and the school will open in the new building on Monday next.
