She Stopped the Cock-fight.

New York, 1895

Henry Munsey, of Huntington, is looking for his wife, who he thinks has eloped. Mr. and Mrs. Munsey quarrelled over a cock-fight. The main was to have been held in Munsey's blacksmith shop.

Mrs. Munsey went to the shop while the sports were waiting for the spurs to be put on the birds. She declared that if there was to be a fight she intended to be in it. In a few minutes she had cleared the room of sports and captured the birds.

Since then Munsey and his wife have not spoken. About a week ago, when the blacksmith went to his home, he found the furniture had been removed by his wife, who had sent it to Long Island City.
