Unknown Friends Assist Mrs. Boyle

Has Bank Account While Husband Begs For Stogies.

Mercer, Pa., April 21. - It was learned here that the effort of former Judge Miller, counsel for Mrs. James H. Boyle in the Whitla abduction case, to have the Ohio courts claim jurisdiction over the woman, had fallen flat. The Ohio authorities expect to take no action unless the woman's conviction in Pennsylvania should fall.

While Boyce is reputed to have called on his relatives for enough money to buy stogies with, Mrs. Boyce is said to be reveling in luxury. It is reported that rich relatives have deposited to her credit here $1,000. No one but her attorney, it is said, knows where it came from, but it is taken as evidence of the truth of the report that she is from a prominent and wealthy family.
