Miss Catherine Anderson and Ensign Meyer Are Married.
GREENWICH, Conn., Nov. 3 -- Miss Catherine B. Anderson of Pittsburgh and Ensign Robert B. Meyer, U.S.N., son of the late Cord Meyer of Great Neck, L.I., accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Brosser of Great Neck, motored to Greenwich at midnight the other day and were married by Justice of the Peace William Timmons, the village blacksmith, at his home.
Upon reaching Greenwich the couple were met by Mr. and Mrs. John R. Johnson of Bellhaven, who in another car escorted them to the justice's home. Arrangements had been made for the nuptials by Ensign Meyer over the telephone. Town Clerk Robert Wellstood was routed out of bed to issue the marriage license. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Brosser were the witnesses. The bride gave her age as 26 and the bridegroom said that he was 32. Following the ceremony the bridal party left for New York.
Ensign Meyer is a graduate of Yale, class of 1917. He was captain of the Yale varsity crew which beat Harvard two years ago.
