Gilroys Landed on Their Feet.

New York, 1895

Ex-Mayor Gilroy of New York and his son went riding at Far Rockaway Saturday morning when the horse became frightened, shied and fell. Mr. Gilroy and his son were pitched from the carriage, but alighted on their foot and escaped uninjured.


John Kain Wanted in Islip.

John Kain, a Bohemian, is wanted at Islip to answer a charge of breach of promise of marriage preferred against him by Emma Stanton, a Bohemian lass of tender years. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
